Terms of Service

Black Shield Cyber Intelligence · 200 Park Avenue, Suite 1700, New York, NY 10166

Last updated: February 1, 2026

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the services provided by Black Shield Cyber Intelligence (“Company,” “we,” “our”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.

2. Services Provided

Black Shield Cyber Intelligence provides professional financial investigation, forensic analysis, and asset recovery facilitation services for victims of fraud. We act as investigators and legal service facilitators. We are not a law firm and do not provide legal advice directly. Legal services are provided through our network of qualified, independent legal partners.

3. Engagement Process

Submission of a Case Assessment form or inquiry does not create an investigator-client or attorney-client relationship. A formal relationship is established only upon execution of a written Engagement Letter that details the scope of work, fee structure, and terms of service.

4. Fees and Payment

Fee structures (contingency, hourly, flat fee, or retainer) are discussed during the initial consultation and detailed in the Engagement Letter. No work is commenced, and no fees are collected, without a signed engagement agreement. All invoices are issued through our secure client portal.

5. No Guarantee of Outcome

While we dedicate significant effort and expertise to every case, the nature of financial investigation and recovery means that outcomes cannot be guaranteed. Recovery success depends on numerous case-specific factors beyond our control, including the availability of assets, cooperation of third parties, and applicable laws.

6. Client Obligations

Clients agree to provide truthful, accurate, and complete information. Clients must cooperate with reasonable requests for documentation, evidence, and information necessary for the investigation. Failure to cooperate may impact case outcomes.

7. Confidentiality

All client information and case details are treated with strict confidentiality. We implement robust security measures to protect your data and comply with all applicable data protection regulations.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Black Shield Cyber Intelligence shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from the use of our services. Our total liability shall not exceed the fees paid by the client for the specific services giving rise to the claim.

9. Termination

Either party may terminate the engagement in accordance with the terms of the Engagement Letter. Upon termination, any fees earned for work performed up to the date of termination remain due and payable.

10. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of New York, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
